Galantis: Lieblings-Playlist … Galantis FM!

Post Malone „Rockstar“ kitzelt gerade unser Gehirn.

Englische Version des Galantis-Interviews

Let’s start the interview with a little practice of my Swedish: Hej hej, hur är läget?

Galantis: Läget är fint, hur mår du?

People saw you live on the Lollapalooza in Berlin. How was the festival season for Galantis this year? Did you have a personal highlight?

Galantis: The 2017 festival season has been absolutely amazing – some of the biggest moments in the life of Galantis have been this year, and most of these have been at festivals. The European festival run this year was amazing and Lollapolooza Berlin was definitely a highlight, but probably the stand out moment for us was Coachella. Coachella was our first ever live show back in 2014, after we had released only a few tracks – a 5 track EP just 12 days before the show. So to return to the desert this year and go back to where it all began and and play this huge show was a very special thing for us.

What’s your favorite song on the new Album “The Aviary”? And why?

Galantis: It changes a lot depending on what mood we’re in, but “Tell Me You Love Me” is definitely a favourite right now. It has that soulful Motown vibe. The inspirations that started Galantis came from sampling… and the first crates you start digging through as a young producer with a new sampler tends to be the old Motown records. The chord progressions of that era are so special. Those artists and producers could make a feel-good, happy track sound so cool and not cheesy. And it’s so cool that the songs are still about the same thing!

Christian, you produced songs for Britney Spears, J.Lo and Madonna. Which of those singers make the music you would listen to in private?

Christian: I grew up with Madonna as an artist. Madonna is always going to have a piece of music history in my book, and its very cool to have been a part of some of her songs. Also, this month is the 10 year anniversary of Britney’s Blackout album – I think thats one of the coolest pop albums ever to come out, so I’m very proud to be part of that.

Are you looking forward to you “The Aviary Tour” in 2018?

Galantis: Yes, very much! Everything Galantis have been fighting for and working towards is all culminating in these shows we’re doing now. Playing off the back of releasing 2 albums makes a huge difference and gives us so many options of what we can do and its something we’ve been looking forward to for a long while.

What’s your favorite playlist on Spotify? Or do you have kind of a favorite song at the moment?

Galantis: Favourite playlist… Galantis FM!

Favourite song… hmmmm… there’s something extremely interesting about Post Malone as an artist. Post Malone „Rockstar“ is tickling our brains right now.
